Geographical Introduction
Mymensingh Sadar upazila on the north, Bhaluka and Gafargaon upazilas on the south, Godganj, Nandail and Gafargaon upazilas on the east and Phulbaria upazila on the west is Trishal upazila on the north.

Anthropological identity

Trishal fertile plains comprise of river basins. Many exotic populations have arrived in the region to facilitate fish farming and crop production. In 1983, Trishal thana was turned into an upazila with 12 unions and 91 mouzas.
